Impact of a Pharmacy Care Management Service on Cardiometabolic Medication Adherence and Resource Use for Medicare Advantage Beneficiaries

Tori-120x120

We studied the impact of a pharmacy care program for patients with conditions such as heart disease and diabetes. Program participants were more likely to refill their medications on time and had fewer hospitalizations compared with similar patients who were not offered the program. Most of the drop in hospitalizations was because the program participants were less likely to have new cardiometabolic problems. The impact was particularly large for people who were not refilling their medications regularly before joining the program. Click here to learn more.
